The fabric reproduces the material specified by the U.S. military for the “PARKA, SHELL-M1951,” a parka used for cold-weather protection, also known as a fishtail or mods parka. Lightweight yet durable, it was designed to be worn over jackets. The material combines 30-count cotton in the warp and 100D nylon in the weft, woven together at high density.
