This is an introduction to the sneakers that were born from a collaboration between NANGA and FLOWER MOUNTAIN, which are connected by the keyword “outdoor field”.
This item is based on FLOWER MOUNTAIN’s flagship model “YAMANO3”, and has been evolved into a special NANGA model. It has been made into a special pair that can be used not only for town use, but also for full-fledged outdoor scenes.
FLOWER MOUNTAIN
A Japanese sneaker brand founded in 2014 by designer Yang Chao and footwear creator Keisuke Ota. Flower Mountain’s delicate designs are inspired by nature and feature textures and details only achieved through handmade craftsmanship. The brand focuses not only on aesthetics but also on comfort, the most essential quality of footwear.
A special YAMANO embodying the DNA of both brands
This collaboration model is based on Flower Mountain’s flagship “YAMANO3” and enhanced with special features from NANGA.
The design incorporates lines on the sides that are inspired by the ridgelines of “Nanga Parbat,” the mountain after which NANGA is named.
The eyelet stays and tongue feature Flower Mountain’s signature motif in natural leather, and the heel is embossed with the “NANGA” logo, perfectly blending the iconic DNA of both brands into one shoe.
The upper combines pig suede and nylon in a technical construction.
The complex layering of materials, flower-like details, perforations, and smooth, curved stitching all draw inspiration from the forms of nature.
The lining is made from materials by Microban, which offer antimicrobial and odor-resistant properties. The inside of the sneakers features Hydro Guard, a breathable, waterproof membrane, providing excellent waterproof performance.
The insoles are made from cork, enhancing moisture absorption for extra comfort.
The outsole features Vibram’s “MEGA GRIP,” specially designed for Flower Mountain.
The unique tread pattern increases the surface area in contact with the ground, delivering superior grip in all conditions, making these shoes highly reliable in any environment.
A lightweight, cushioned EVA midsole is also integrated, providing excellent comfort with every step.
This collaboration between NANGA and Flower Mountain, tied together by their connection to the outdoor field, offers a versatile piece that can complement various outfits.
